Place seemed pretty nice. I didn't care too much for the thickness of the tortillas. They seemed more like pita bread or something. Just too thick. The wait was way too long for 3 breakfast tacos fresh made or not.
The place has the potential to be what it must of once been.
After bringing my chorizo and egg plate ($ 8.99), I had to get up for a refill on my own. Nobody ever stopped by or even looked my way to see if I needed anything or to check my satisfaction with my meal.
My chorizo and eggs were bland, the potatoes were tasteless but the beans were decent.
As soon as I walked,in the environment was filled with positive vibes. Never had an experience like I did today. The server was very polite, his name was Henry. The way he talked to me made me feel at home. He even let me have a free sample so that I was satisfied with my food! The food was amazing and definitely am going back. I would recommend to anyone to go and eat there and ask for Henry! Even the owner was out there helping out so the food would come out even faster! Never have I experienced such joy going to a restaurant like Bob's Taco Station.
They say they were voted best tamales. I personally did not like the chicken tamales. Terrible! Not a good flavor at all. Definitely not worth 19$. You also have to order them in advance. Limited hours of operation. If you don't mind loosing a 20. Feel free to order chicken tamales.
Love this place. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. Looked forward to coming here during my visit with family.
But, at this point, I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for attentive service, tasty food, or a good value.
There was a decent crowd which tells me that people have become comfortable with Bob's, so unless ownership wants to make improvements, I doubt they will reach their potential.
